Review:
Texas Hold'em, in both its limit and non-limit forms, is the single most popular version of poker being played out in tournaments and online today. Ken Warren is the author of five 'how to' books on poker and a seasoned veteran of the game. The first volume of "Kenn Warren Teaches Texas Hold'em" was published in 2009 and is a 416-page compendium deftly organized into fifteen 'user friendly' chapters specifically designed for novice, non-professional players wanting to seriously improve their game, holding their own when playing with friends or in casinos, and ending up at final tables at local, regional, and even national tournaments. Beginning with the basics, aspiring players will be introduced to low-limit concepts and strategies, learn how to profit from mistakes before the game, before the flop, on the turn, on the river, and even after the game. Of special note are the two chapters devoted to answering common questions. The second volume, "Kenn Warren Teaches Texas Hold'em 2" is a 352-page compendium devoted to answering even more questions posed by poker players seeking to improve the quality of their decision making at the gaming table both in live tournaments and on-line gaming events. Taken together, these two volumes comprise a complete course of instruction on a game famously notorious as being learned in a few minutes while taking a lifetime to master. Even the pros you see playing Final Tables at the WSPO or the WPT could browse the pages of Ken Warren's two volume masterpiece to their own personal advantage in a game of Texas Hold'em!
